Originals
Host Marty Miller, a queer Brooklyn-based comedian and actor, aims to explore what home means to his guests and to find out exactly what, where, and who makes a home feel like, well, home.
Created by Katlego Makhudo, this series of intimate audio portraits told from the perspective of South Africa’s so-called freedom generation–that is, those born at Apartheid’s end in 1994.
Originally produced between 2017 and 2019, Homegirls in the City is a series of first person audio memoirs balancing radical introspection with comedic relief. It won the NY Media Center Podcast Pitch Night and was a Selected Participant at the IFP Project Forum. Moso Haus crowdfunded over $10K to develop and produce the next iteration of the show.
