About Us
The Mosuo or Moso are a small ethnic group in China known as the “Kingdom of Women.” As a matriarchy, Mosuo families follow the maternal bloodline and grandmothers sit at the head of the table. Sadly, Ivana and Samiah do not live in these lush, rolling Himalayan foothills but they have the utmost respect for a society built upon the strength of women.
Upon first meeting, the Moso Haus co-founders solidified a friendship based on openness, equity, and good humor. They decided to build something based on these ideals as well as their belief that women are great leaders and the industry needs more of them. Ivana and Samiah work hard but know when to stop working and savor a good meal and some reality TV.
